A Broken System
PGDRS is designed to do more than save individual dogs. Its broader purpose is to build meaningful partnerships and advance practices that improve dog rescue outcomes.
RESCUE
Providing safety and a fresh start for dogs who need another chance.
PGDRS will partner with shelters, rescue organizations, and communities to identify dogs who need additional time, specialized support, or a different environment in order to have a meaningful chance at adoption.

REHABILITATION
Addressing medical, behavioral, and emotional needs while allowing each dog the time necessary to heal. Healing cannot be rushed. Dogs will receive medical care, behavioral support, enrichment, socialization, and, perhaps most importantly, the time and space necessary to decompress, rebuild trust, and reveal their true personalities.
RESEARCH
Working with experts and future academic partners to better understand canine behavior, recovery, successful placement, and the factors that contribute to long-term outcomes.
EDUCATION
Creating opportunities for adopters, volunteers, students, rescue professionals, and community partners to learn, share knowledge, and strengthen the collective work of animal rescue.
